Redescription. Adult ( Fig. 1a ). Wingspan 15.5−22.5 mm. Head dark brown, with purplish shine. Antenna lutescent, slightly shorter or nearly as long as forewing; scape blackish brown dorsally; flagellum ringed with brown. Labial palpus with second palpomere dark brown, mixed with white scales at base dorsally; third palpomere slender, about 1/2 as long as second, greyish white, with dense brown scales at base and apex. Thorax and tegula lutescent to yellowish white. Forewing lutescent to yellowish white, with scattered brown scales; costal margin black basally; discal, discocellular and plical spots blackish brown, irregular in shape, relatively small; subterminal fascia greyish brown, from distal 1/5 of costal margin extending to before tornus; terminal dots blackish brown, from preapex along termen to tornus; fringe lutescent. Hindwing greyish brown, costal margin greyish white along basal 2/3; fringe greyish brown. Fore- and midlegs blackish brown to greyish white. Hindleg greyish white, with dense brown scales on outer surface.

Male genitalia ( Fig. 1b ). Tegumen narrow, gently arched, with a small notch at middle on posterior margin. Costal part of valva arched, wide basally, narrowed to pointed apex distally, sparsely setose, with a large sclerotized flap basally; saccular part of valva slightly shorter than costal part, gradually narrowed from base to basal 2/3; distal 1/3 digitate, with long sparse setae, rounded at apex. Juxta with basal 1/5 sub-quadrate, straight and sclerotized on anterior margin; distal 4/5 gradually narrowed to rounded apex, preapically with a cluster of spines, laterally between distal 2/5 and preapex with a large, sclerotized triangular flap curved inward. Aedeagus long and slender, about 1.5 times length of saccular part of valva, sclerotized, with short fine spines and gradules distally; cornuti consisting of a cluster of easily shed long spines bearing teeth basally.

Female genitalia ( Fig. 1c ). Papillae anales sub-cylindrical, rounded on posterior margin, with dense short setae posteriorly and with long setae anteriorly. Apophyses anteriores approximately half length of apophyses posteriores. Eighth tergite sub-rectangular; eighth sternite rounded and with long setae on posterior margin. Antrum membranous, sub-trapezoidal, concave on posterior margin on ventral surface. Ductus bursae membranous, enlarged anterad antrum; ductus seminalis arising from posterior 1/3 of ductus bursae. Corpus bursae ovoid, about 0.6 times length of ductus bursae; with two densely dentate signa, one signum ovoid, the other sub-rectangular.

Distribution. China (Fujian, Guangxi, Hunan, Zhejiang).

Note. The female of this species is described for the first time.
