Type material. China, Guizhou: Holotype ♂, Jiangkou (27.4 °N, 118.0°E), 600 m, 28–VII–2001, leg. HH Li & XP Wang, slide No. W01292 GoogleMaps . Paratype: 1♂, 1700 m, 29–VII–2001, otherwise same data as holotype GoogleMaps .
Redescription. Adult ( Fig. 3 View FIGURES 2–6 ). Wingspan 13.5−15.0 mm. Head shining fuscous, vertex tinged with grey. Antenna lutescent; scape elongate, blackish brown on dorsal surface; flagellum with brown rings. Labial palpus with second palpomere whitish yellow dotted with ocherous scales on inner surface, greyish brown on outer surface; third palpomere light brown, with greyish white scales toward distal, slightly shorter than second palpomere. Thorax and tegula greyish brown basally, pale yellow distally. Forewing whitish yellow, tinged with brown scales; costal margin with basal 1/6 brown, forming a dark brown basal blotch, distal 5/6 pale ocherous yellow; discal, discocellular and plical spots blackish brown, discocellular spot larger, indistinctly separated into two dots from middle; tornal spot blackish brown, diffused; subterminal fascia extending from distal 1/4 of costal margin to tornus, arched outward medially (indistinct due to abrasion); terminal dots black, ranging from preapex along termen to tornus; fringe yellowish white, mixed with grey. Hindwing and fringe greyish brown. Foreleg dark brown, tibia and tarsus with greyish white scales; mid- and hindlegs greyish white, with dense brown scales on outer surface.
Male genitalia ( Fig. 8 View FIGURES 7–11 ). Tegumen gently arched on posterior margin, sides narrow. Gnathos a large sclerotized plate, widened laterally, narrowed to middle; posterior margin broadly concave at middle, forming two triangular lateral processes; anterior margin almost straight. Vinculum narrowly banded, sclerotized, dilated posteriorly. Costal part of valva with basal 3/4 nearly same width, distal 1/4 gradually narrowed, sparsely setose, apically hooked upward and slightly exceeding apex of saccular part; saccular part of valva concave before middle on ventral margin, widest at base, narrowed to basal 1/3, greatly shrunk medially, distal 2/5 roundly expanded, elliptical, with dense setae. Juxta sub-rectangular; lateral margin heavily sclerotized, dilated and setose distally; posterior margin slightly concave at middle, with strong setae; anterior margin sclerotized, obtusely rounded. Aedeagus stout, nearly as long as saccular part of valva, with dense granules distally; cornuti consisting of two short spines and a bunch of easily shed long spines.
