Distribution. This species is known from Europe (including Bulgaria ( Raitchev (1986)), North Africa, Canary Islands, Madeira, Egypt, Libya, Syria, Turkey, Caucasus, Saudi Arabia, and Iraq. This species has also been recorded from Canada and USA ( Herman 2001) where it was introduced. The citations for the Oriental Region, Korea and Japan are due to misidentifications.
