Type material examined. ♂ (Holotype, NMPC), [p] “N Myanmar 18.‒25.v.1998 // Zi Yar Dam, 1250 m // 65 km NW Putao // S. Murzin & V. Siniaev lgt.”, [p] “ HOLOTYPUS // Stenothemus // laterophysus sp. n. // V. Švihla det. 2003” .

Distribution. N. Myanmar.

Remarks. The habitus of the holotype is presented for the first time, in order to show its superficial similarity to the new species described below.
