Smetana, 2007: 12 ( Ocypus ; subgenus Pseudocypus ; Type locality: China, Sichuan, Erlang Shan); Smetana, 2008: 169 (China, Sichuan, Lixian); Schülke & Smetana, 2015: 1092 ( Ocypus ; subgenus Pseudocypus ; Catalog of Palaearctic Region).

Distribution. Ocypus laelaps is at present known from Sichuan Province.
