Smetana, 2008: 178 ( Ocypus ; subgenus Pseudocypus ; Type locality: China, Sichuan, Daxue Shan); Schülke & Smetana, 2015: 1091 ( Ocypus ; subgenus Pseudocypus ; Catalog of Palaearctic Region).
Distribution. Ocypus caelestis is at present known from Daxue Shan in Sichuan Province.
