Smetana, 2007: 45 ( Ocypus ; subgenus Pseudocypus ; Type locality: China, Sichuan, Jiuding Shan); Schülke & Smetana, 2015: 1093 ( Ocypus ; subgenus Pseudocypus ; Catalog of Palaearctic Region).

Distribution. Ocypus palamedes is at present known from Jiuding Shan in northwestern Sichuan Province.
