Type species: P. workandae Southcott, 1961
Definition. Dorsal scutum present, long, narrow, lightly chitinized, carrying a distinct crista. AL and PL scutalae present. Pedal coxalae 1, 1, 1; trochanteralae 2, 3, 3. Lateral tarsal claws dissimilar: anterior falciform, strong, simple; middle (empodium) long, slender, falciform; posterior pulvilliform, without rod or claw element, and is a brush of branching ciliations. Palpal supracoxala present. Palpal trochanter with 1–2 setae. Palpal femur with 3 setae, Palpal genu with 5 setae. Palpal tibial claw entire with one median dorsal and one median ventral tooth.
