Description. — Total length: 5.51. Body elongate, dorsal surface pruinose except anterior pronotal lobe shagreened ( Figs. 3 View FIGURES 1 – 4 , 15–18 View FIGURES 15 – 18 ). Head length: 1.05; head width: 1. 13. Antenniferous tubercles slightly convergent. Head broad. Antenna long, slender, segment IV fusiform and broader; chestnut, except segment I light brown; with short decumbent setae more abundant at apex; first segment shorter than half of interocular space. Length of antennal segments I–IV: 0.33, 0.92, 0.82, 1.17. Eyes oval, relatively small. Eye width: 0.17; interocular distance: 0.77; postocular distance 0.05. Interocellar distance: 0.53. Rostrum chestnut, with sparse, short, semierect setae; rostrum reaching posterior border of procoxa. Length of rostral segments I–IV: 0.62, 0.58, 0.34, 0.35. Pronotum ( Fig. 15 View FIGURES 15 – 18 ) dark brown and punctuate. Anterior pronotal collar slightly demarcated by a furrow; anterior pronotal lobe almost glabrous and shagreened (minutely crazed or roughened sharkinned texture) ( Fig. 16 View FIGURES 15 – 18 ); collar and posterior pronotal lobe pruinose (bearing minute cell hairs) ( Fig.17 View FIGURES 15 – 18 ). Scalelike setae posteriorly on anterior pronotal lobe, transverse sulci, and anterior half of posterior pronotal lobe. Length of collar, anterior pronotal lobe, and posterior pronotal lobe: 0.17, 0.95, 0.43, respectively; width of collar, anterior pronotal lobe, and posterior pronotal lobe: 0.92, 1.00, 1.07, respectively. Transverse impression width: 0.73. Scutellum dark brown, almost black, with scalelike setae, punctuate except for lower Yshaped carina. Hemelytra coloration pattern as shown in fig. 3, with abundant scalelike setae ( Fig. 18 View FIGURES 15 – 18 ). Hemelytra reaching fifth abdominal segment. Pleura dark brown, almost black, metaepisternum whitish dorsally; punctuate; with short, decumbent setae. Legs brownchestnut, distal end of profemora, protibia, and tarsi paler; bearing short, decumbent, setae, meso and metatibia with spiniform setae. Abdomen brown, almost black, with short, abundant, decumbent, setae. Pygophore and claspers as shown in Figs. 19–22 View FIGURES 19 – 23 . Aedeagus ( Fig. 23 View FIGURES 19 – 23 ): Vesica with three serrated projections, distal projection “U”shaped.
Types.— Holotype male, Argentina: CORRIENTES, Ituzaingó, Reserva Santa María, 29102003, Melo col. (sweeping) (MLP). Paratypes.— 2 ΨΨ, same data as holotype, P. M. Dellapé (MLP), 1 Ψ, M. Chayle (MLP), 1 ɗ, Corrientes, Pellegrini, 9V2002, P. M. Dellapé (MLP).
Etymology. — Named after H. Brailovsky, a notable hemipterologist.
