Pholidoptera aptera (Fabricius, 1793)

This species is known from several isolated areas in Bohemia (Mařan 1953; as noted earlier in this report), where it was described as the separate subspecies Ph. aptera bohemica . The status of this subspecies is uncertain as well as the classification of individuals from south-Moravian localities. Its occurrence there has not been confirmed recently in previously recorded localities; these include Mohelno (Chládek 1976) and the Jihlava River valley (Dobšík 1948). The only recently confirmed locality in Moravia is Podyjí NP (Vranov nad Dyjí).
