Material examined
R/V AGOR Vidal Gormáz, off Concepción, Chile, (Sta. AGT 1, 11/30/2003), 36°21.46’S, 73°44.08’W, 930m, 1 lv (21.13mm) (RH).
Remarks
This species most strongly resembles P. concepcionensis because it also has a shouldered shell with similar axial lamellae ending as short open spines on P1, and a long, broadly open, siphonal canal. However, it differs in having a broader, more strongly shouldered shell with broader and slightly longer shoulder spines, and a comparatively broader siphonal canal. It is unclear whether it is just a form of P. concepcionensis or a distinct species.
