Dreisbachia navajo ( Townes, 1960) View in CoL
( Figs 15–19 View FIGURES 15–19 )
References. Townes & Townes 1960: 223 [ Laufeia View in CoL ; description; USA (Arizona), Honduras]. Townes & Townes 1966: 18 [catalogue; Honduras, USA]. Carlson 1979: 335 [catalogue].
Remarks. This species occurs in southern USA (Arizona, Florida), and has been recorded from Honduras ( Townes & Townes 1960). However, D. navajo has not been found in material from Mexico, nor in material from Central America, and we believe that this record actually belongs to the species D. avivae which was described after Townes’ publications and is widely distributed from Panama to southern USA. Thus, the record of D. navajo from Honduras is doubtful and requires verification.
Material examined. USA. Florida: 1 ♀ ( FSCA) Bradenton, 31.vii.1987, coll. Gupta. 1 ♂ ( FSCA) same data but 22.v.1987 .
Distribution. USA (Arizona, Florida),? Honduras.
