Distribution. USA (Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Virginia), Mexico (Nuevo León, Tamaulipas, Nayarit/Jalisco, Colima, Veracruz, Oaxaca), Guatemala, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Brazil (Minas Gerais, Paraná, São Paulo). First record from Guatemala.

Biology. Parasitod of adult spider Achaearanea tingo Levi ( Gonzaga et al. 2016) and Cryptachaea migrans (Keyserling) ( Kloss et al. 2024) ( Theridiidae ) in Brazil. The parasitoid larva induces the spider to build a very simple and strong modified web composed of two cables attached to the surrounding vegetation ( Gonzaga et al. 2016). However, Kloss et al. (2024) observed that modified webs built by parasitized spiders in the host web did not improve the survival of parasitoid pupae, and the benefits of host behavioral modification for the parasitoids may vary across different host species.
