Type locality. LP, ‘Zoutpansbergen, in rotting wood in native forest below Hangklip krantz, Louis Trichard area’ (Pickford).
Distribution. Known from the country's northernmost province Limpopo (lying within a great curve of the Limpopo river, previously known as Northern Transvaal province), area of the Zoutpansberg. Three sites: Louis Trichard vicinity, Government Forestry Station, and Entabeni Forest.
