TL: [West Bengal], Darjeeling.

TD: holotype, male , NHMUK.

Distribution in India: West Bengal ( Sevastopulo 1956); throughout India, Nagaland (Nagas), Andaman & Nicobar Islands (Andamans) ( Chandra et al. 2018a, Hampson 1892 as Estigena pardalis ); Punjab, Maharashtra ( Mitra et al. 2019, Gurule & Nikam 2013); Punjab ( Singh et al. 2019), Semi-arid zone ( Chandra et al. 2021); Jharkhand ( Singh & Ahmad 2017). Global records: Pakistan, southern China, Taiwan, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Malaysia, Java, Sumatra ( Hauenstein et al. 2011).

Remarks: Estigena pardale sinensis ( Tams, 1935: 50) from South China, Thailand and Estigena pardale formosana ( Tams, 1935: 51) from Formosa (Taiwan) are also known. Further, type locality for pardale was cited as Java by Zolotuhin & Pinratana (2005).

Moreover, the two subspecies mentioned below need further study and can be raised to species rank in future like koniensis Tams.
