U n t e r s u c h t e s M a t e r i a l: Portugal: Serra do Gerês, Portela do Homem, 752 m, Quercus litter, 41°48’16’’N, 08°07’51’’W, 23.III.2002, leg. Meybohm, 2 Ex. (cAss, cSch).

Mycetoporus clavicornis ist von Nordafrika bis nach Nordeuropa verbreitet. Meldungen aus dem östlichen Teil Südeuropas sind wegen der Möglichkeit der Verwechslung mit Mycetoporus subpronus REITTER 1909 unsicher. Aus Portugal wurde die Art bisher nicht gemeldet ( HERMAN 2001, SMETANA 2004).
