DISTRIBUTION: N. Caucasus (Kalmyk Steppe), Kazakhstan (U.S.S.R.); S.W. Mongolia; Sinkiang ( China). Formerly west to Poland.

PROTECTED STATUS: U.S. ESA - Endangered as S. f. nwngolica subspecies only.
