Material Examined (1). Peru / Machu / Pichu / 24.12.76 // coll. Kj. Ehnbom // Psapharochrus / nigricans (Lam.) // MZLU 00223134.
Distribution. Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, French Guiana, Brazil, Paraguay, Argentina, and Uruguay ( Monné 2024b; Roguet 2024; Tavakilian & Chevillotte 2024). In Peru, it is recorded by Carrasco (1978) but without specific locality, and by Zajwic (1970) from Arequipa, Apurimac, Madre de Dios, and Cusco. However, Monné et al. (2012), Monné & Chaboo (2015), and Monné (2024b) do not mention this species from Peru. Therefore, the presence of this species in Peru is confirmed.
