Material studied. Holotype male. THAILAND, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Namtok Yong N.P., 8°14.262’N, 99°48.289’E, 966 m, TV aerial, Malaise trap, 22–29.IX.2008, Paiboon, 1 male (T3541, in QSGB) . Paratypes. THAILAND, same data as holotype, 2 males (in MZH) ; same data as previous but 1–8.IX.2008, 1 male (T3538, in QSBG) ; Petchabun, Kaeng Krachan N.P., km33/helipad, 12°50.177’N, 99°20.688’E, 736 m, Malaise trap, 4– 11.XII.2008, Sirichai, 1 male (T4393, in MZH) ; Suphanburi, Pu Toei N.P., Phu Thoei, 14°57.32’N, 99°26.972’E, 650 m, hill top/road, Malaise trap, 16–23.VII.2008, L. Description. Male. Head. Brown, antenna concolorous with face, maxillary palpus pale brown. Eye bridge 2–3 facets wide. Face with 6–12 long dark setae. Clypeus non-setose. Mouthparts strongly reduced. Maxillary palpus with one segment, with 3–5 pointed setae, with a large dorsal patch of sensilla. Antenna short, antennal flagellomeres laterally flattened, asymmetrical in relation to their necks, frontal part larger; densely setose, setae curved, body of 4th flagellomere 1.7–2.3x as long as wide, the longest setae much shorter than the width of the flagellomere, neck shorter than wide. Thorax. Brown and unicolorous; setae dark. Anterior pronotum with 3–4 setae. Proepisternum with 2–4 setae. Scutellum with 2 long and many short setae. Wing. Fumose. Length 1.9–2.2 mm. Width/length 0.50. Anal lobe moderate. Hind margin with dorsal setae only. Veins distinct. R1/R 1.30–1.55. c/w 0.80–0.90. bM longer or as long as r-m, stM longer than M-fork, stCu longer than bM. R1 joining c before base of M-fork. R1 with dorsal and ventral setae, bM, r-m and StCu non-setose. Haltere pale brown. Legs. Yellow. Fore tibial organ unmodified, with some fine setae. Fore tibial spur longer than the tibial width. Abdomen. Pale brown; setae long, dark, and robust. Hypopygium, Fig. 5 B . Brown, like the abdomen, broad; setae dark. Gonocoxa broad, slightly longer than gonostylus. Gonocoxae fused, ventromedial margin distinct, intergonocoxal area broad and short, largely non-microtrichose, narrowly non-setose medially. Setosity of gonocoxa long and dense, shorter at medial margin. Apicomedial seta poorly differentiated. Gonostylus elongated, rather wide medially, impressed dorso- and ventromedially, with broad medial lobe, with long and narrow apical tooth with a small megaseta attached to its ventral side, with 2 subapical megasetae near the base of the tooth, and 3 on the medial lobe, the megasetae slender and hyalinous, slightly curved. Tegmen broader than long, distinctly curved basolaterally, hyalinous but sclerotized basolaterally, with tiny aedeagal teeth. Aedeagal apodeme distinct and short with a robust apical fork.

Female. Unknown.

Discussion. Pseudoaerumnosa ampliata sp. n. similar to P. impensa sp. n. in having a rather large gonostylus and the lateral margin of the tegmen strongly and abruptly curved. Pseudoaerumnosa ampliata differs from P. impensa in having a relatively longer, straighter apical tooth of the gonostylus, the tegmen more strongly narrowed towards the apex and a setose intergonocoxal area of the hypopygium.

Etymology. The name is Latin, ampliata , enlargened, referring to the wide gonostylus of the species.
