Type materials. Holotype: ♂, China, Hainan Is.: Mingfeng Valley, Mt. Jianfengling , Jianfeng Township , Ledong County, 18˚44′N/108˚50′E, Alt. ca. 1,000 m, Ɨ南省乐东s尖峰•尖峰岭ṅNjẅ, 19–20.VII.2017, Local collec- tor leg. ( HBUM) . Paratypes: 2 ♀♀, China, Hainan Is.: Main peak, Mt. Jianfengling , Jianfeng Township , Ledong County, 18˚42′N/108˚52′E, Alt. 1,000–1,300 m, Ɨ南省乐东s尖峰•尖峰岭主峰, 21.VII.2017, Local collector leg. ( EUMJ) .

Description. Body length: 9.0 mm in ♂ (n = 1); 9.0– 9.5 mm in ♀ (n = 2). Proportions ♂ (n = 1): IE/TD 1.18; PW/PL 1.90; EL/EW 1.91; ♀ (n = 2): IE/TD 1.51–1.70; PW/PL 1.97–2.13; EL/EW 1.70–1.84.

Elongate, moderately convex, shiny. Colour dark reddish brown; dorsal surface coppery; head and pronotum brilliant metallic green, head with frons obscurely purple, pronotum very shiny, with obscure purple spot on median portion; elytra greenish; legs reddish brown; venter, lateral portions of abdominal ventrites, apical half of femora and apical third of tibiae with strong metallic green reflection; antennae weakly infuscate.

Male. Head transversely hexagonal, weakly convex; punctures piligerous, coarse and dense, denser on clypeus, larger and slightly sparser on frons; clypeus slightly convex, depressed at sides, much lower than frons in height, strongly curved downwards in apical fourth and truncate at apex; frontoclypeal suture obscure, scarcely impressed; genae wider than long, distinctly raised along external margins; frons rather narrow, weakly convex; eyes transverse in dorsal view, strongly convex, with inner ocular sulci tenuous and rather shallow; tempora short, bumpy, coarsely and densely punctate. Antennae filiform, reaching middle of elytra; 11th antennomere elongate and longest, 1.33 times as long as penultimate antennomere. Ultimate maxillary palpomere strongly dilated, cupuliform; interio-lateral margin distinctly longer than exterio-lateral margin; interio-apical corner much more strongly produced than exterio-apical corner. Mentum obtrapezoidal, moderately convex, coarsely punctate.

Pronotum strongly transverse, widest at basal third; disc moderately convex, steeply declivous laterally, irregularly depressed and not sulcate along lateral margins, with punctures dense and irregular, slightly larger than on frons; anterior margin gently and angulately emarginate, feebly produced in median two-thirds, distinctly beaded; lateral margins weakly convergent forwards from the widest point, weakly sinuate before base in a short distance, narrowly beaded; basal margin gently rounded and scarcely bisinuate, moderately beaded; anterior corners rounded, rectangular, weakly produced, posterior ones obtusely angulate, not produced. Scutellum large and almost flat, with a few microscopic punctures.

Elytra elongate, moderately convex, gently divergent posteriorly, acute at apices; striae tenuous, distinctly impressed; strial punctures fine and dense, distinctly wider than corresponding striae, becoming smaller in apical portions; intervals strongly convex though moderately so on 1st to 3rd ones, with very sparse and microscopic punctures; humeral calli oblong, moderately humped; epipleura oblique, flattened, sparsely punctate, reaching just behind base of 5th abdominal ventrite.

Prothoracic hypomera convex, longitudinally rugose and sparsely punctate, scarcely microsculptured. Prosternum strongly depressed and very short in front of coxae, coarsely punctate, cribrous in part, finely beaded at apex; prosternal process lanceolate ( Fig. 32 View FIGURES 32–33 ), steeply sloping behind coxae, broadly sulcate basally and not beaded at sides. Mesoventral ridge broadened V-shaped, distinctly sloping forwards, without anterior angles in lateral view. Metaventrite strongly convex, scarcely punctate in median two-thirds, coarsely punctate laterally along lateral margins. Abdomen weakly convex, minutely punctate, finely and irregularly rugulose in basal three ventrites and basal half of 4th one.

Aedeagus robust ( Fig. 33 View FIGURES 32–33 ); basale 2.42 times as long as paramere, distinctly divergent posteriorly and strongly curved ventrad; parameres very short, moderately tumid, scarcely curved ventrad, widely rounded, and turned dorsad at apices, with dorsal surface flattened and muricated.

Legs slender and long. Femora slender, weakly clavate; posterior margins of meso- and metafemora moderately emarginate in each basal three-fourths, thence covered with dense and short hairs. Mesotibiae weakly incurved, with inner margin dilated and densely pubescent in apical third; metatibiae slender, weakly sinuous at basal third. Tarsi long.

Female. Antennae shorter, reaching basal third of elytra; distance between eyes wider. Posterior margins of meso- and metafemora neither emarginate nor pubescent. Dilatations of tarsomeres weaker.

Distribution. China (Hainan Is.).

Etymology. The specific epithet is named after glittering pronotum of this new species.

Differential diagnosis. This new species resembles Pseudonautes unicolor Pic, 1923a from Vietnam, Nepal and China, but is readily separable from the latter in the following characters: head and pronotum brilliant metallic green, and pronotum with ambiguous purple spot on median portion; head and pronotum more coarsely punctate; elytral intervals distinctly convex; and posterior margins of male meso- and metafemora emarginate and covered with dense and short hairs.
