Distribution. Transpalaearctic, temperate-subtropic. Throughout the Russian territory from Kaliningradskaya Oblast to Primorye, Sakhalin Isl. and Kuriles, Kamchatka, Magadanskaya Oblast, Yakutia and northern part of Khabarovsky Kray. Outside Russia in N Africa, Europe, Turkey, Transcaucasia, N Iran, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Japan (Hokkaido, Rishiri Isl.).
Hostplants: flaccid and dry leaves of herbs, shrubs and deciduous trees ( Beljaev 2016; Hausmann 2004).
