Type:— China. Yunnan: Wenshan City, Malipo county, Huangjinyin , alt. 1400–1600m, 7 Nov. 1947, K.M. Feng 13006 (holotype KUN 1206791; isotype KUN 1206793,1206794 ; PE 00023685 and A 00096487) .

Descr. add.: Flowers axillary at twig apices. Pedicel 3–4 cm, slightly robust, glabrous or hairs insignificant. Sepals 4 or 5, ovate, pubescent, apex obtuse. Petals slightly longer than sepals, broader than long, incised at apices, sometimes unequal in width. Anthers ca. 5mm as long as filaments, short bristles, numerous, more than 100. Disk bright yellow. Ovary ovoid, brown pubescent, style slender, pubescent. Capsule dehiscent into 4–5 valves, prickles green to yellow, 3–4 mm.
