Type species. Otacilia armatissima Thorell, 1897 View in CoL
Diagnosis: see Liu et al. (2022).
Description: see Mu & Zhang (2023).
Composition. Jin et al. (2016) divided Otacilia into five species-groups, i.e., the armatissima -group, ambon - group, longituba -group, pseudostella -group, and an unnamed group containing the remaining species. Although the species-groups are widely accepted, there are still many species that are not assigned to any of them. Here, the four new species are assigned to two species-groups: O. pugna sp. nov. and O. suining sp. nov. belong to the armatissima -group, and O. pingwu sp. nov. and O. distorta sp. nov. belong to the longituba -group.
