Type material. Holotype ♂ ( MHBU), CHINA: Hunan Province: Changde City, Shimen Co., Hupingshan Town , Jiangpinghe Vill., Zhongjiao Mt (30°0’14.90”N, 110°28’42.82”E, 362 m a.s.l.), 30.10.2018, leg. Z. Li. GoogleMaps
Paratypes: 2♁ 7♀ ( MHBU), with same data as holotype GoogleMaps .
Etymology. The specific epithet is derived from the Latin word “ pugnus ”, referring to the fist-shaped retrolateral tibial apophysis.
Diagnosis. The new species resembles O. lata Yao, Irfan & Peng, 2019 in having a similarly shaped embolus, tegular apophysis and bursa, but can be recognized by: 1) the retrolateral tibial apophysis short, fist-shaped, with digitiform tip (vs long, rectangular, cf. Fig. 5B View FIGURE 5 and fig. 3G in Yao et al. [2019]), 2) conductor slender (vs wide, cf. Fig. 5B–C View FIGURE 5 and fig. 3F–G in Yao et al. [2019]), 3) copulatory opening round (vs oval, cf. Fig. 5E View FIGURE 5 and fig. 3C in Yao et al. [2019]).
