Ind. loc.: “Je l’ai reçu de M. Bourgeau, mêlé avec le précédent et sous la même étiquette. Il en diffère par […] de Medina Sidonia , en Espagne, distribué par M. Bourgeau, au n°28 de ses exsiccata de plantes d’Espagne, sous le nom de B. apula L. (ex Cosson)ˮ.

Lectotype (designated here):— SPAIN “ Biscutella Bourgaei Jord., Medina Sidonia (Espagne),1849ˮ (handwriting) leg. E. Bourgeau, det. A. Jordan ( LY0009641 !).

= Biscutella baetica Boiss. & Reut.

Note: although the protologue indicates a specific specimen, this is not a holotype because it was probably not the only amalgam in this centuriae. B. baetica and B. lyrata are actually sympatric and sometimes syntopic in western Andalusia (J.-M. Tison pers. obs.).
