TYPE AND ONLY SPECIES. — Chilcacetus cavirhinus n. sp.

ETYMOLOGY. — From Chilcatay, the geological formation from which the holotype and referred specimen originate, and “cetus”, whale in Latin.

DIAGNOSIS. — Ŋe diagnosis of the genus is the same as for the only species, Chilcacetus cavirhinus n. gen., n. sp.
