Phylidorea (Phylidorea) squalens (Zetterstedt, 1838) View in CoL
Material examined: Russia (East Siberia): Buryatia, south side of Baikal Lake, 10 km E Baikalsk, 27. VI.2003, 1 ɗ, H.A. Coene leg., J. Starý det.
Distribution: Widespread in Europe, also known from Mongolia. First record for Russia (East Siberia).
Note: Based on the respective descriptions ( Alexander 1924, 1938), P. (P.) squalens subpoetica ( Alexander, 1924), from the Russian Far East, and P. (P.) squalens multidentata ( Alexander, 1938), from North Korea, differ from P. (P.) squalens in the structure of the male terminalia and most probably represent valid species. The record by Gelhaus & Podenas (2006) from Mongolia almost certainly pertains to P. squalens . Pilaria discicollis (Meigen, 1818)

Distribution: Widespread in Europe, also known from Iran. First record for Turkey; confirmed for Spain (so far known from Gerona only).
Note: P. discicollis simulans Savchenko, 1983, from Russian Far East, is of uncertain status, possibly a colour variant of P. discicollis .
