[ Holotype: ANSP; ♀ Las Cruces , New Mexico, US; August 21]

Protoxaea gloriosa is widely distributed in northern Mexico. Ayala et al. (1996), reported this species in both BC and BCS. We examined one female collected in the Gulf Coast in Canipolé in October 1941, BCS ( CASC). See fig. 23 .
