Melissoptila otomita ( Cresson, 1878) View in CoL

[ Holotype: ANSP; ♂ Mexico]

Bees in this genus are primarily neotropical. The northern range for Melissoptila otomita begins in central Texas and it is distributed in tropical areas of Mexico and Central America. The only available records within the BCP are from CARCIB in September 2016 in the Cape Mountains in Sierra la Laguna, BCS (2 ♂, 1 ♀). See fig. 113 .
