Habropoda excellens represents a new species record for Mexico and our recent record in the Baja California Mountains significantly widens its distribution range. The BBPT collected a male specimen in September 2021 within the transitional zone between the Baja California Mountains and the Lower Colorado Desert (MABC). See fig. 81.
