Xylocopa (Neoxylocopa) sonorina Smith, 1874

[ Holotype: NHMUK; ♀ Hawaii ( Sandwich Islands )]

This species is distributed across central and northwestern Mexico and the southwestern USA ( Mérida-Rivas et al. 2022). It is abundant within the BCP and has been recorded throughout the peninsula, though it tends to be less common in the CFP (Supplementary material 1). Voucher specimens are in MABC, and ECOAB. See fig. 152.
