Coelioxys sodalis is widely distributed across North America. Despite its broad range, this is a new species record for the BCP and Mexico. The BBPT collected six specimens in the Coastal Sage Matorral in May 2020 (3 ♀), and May 2022 (1 ♂); Chaparral in March 2021 (1 ♀); and Succulent Coastal Matorral in May 2022 (1 ♂). Voucher specimens are in MABC, and ECOAB. See fig. 215 .
