Megachile maurata is a new species record for Mexico. Within the BCP, it was recently recorded in the Coastal Sage Matorral in May 2022 (2 ♂) ; Succulent Coastal Matorral in March 2021 (1 ♂) , and April 2023 (1 ♂); and the Central Desert in March 2021 (1 ♂) . See fig. 226 .
