Megachile alata View in CoL specializes on pollen from several plants in the family Asteraceae View in CoL including Bahia Lag. View in CoL , Bebbia (Benth.) Greene View in CoL , Encelia Adans. View in CoL , and Helianthus View in CoL L. ( Fowler 2020). This species has only been recorded once in the BCP in the Succulent Coastal Matorral in April 1935 by SDNHM ( GBIF 2023). See fig. 225.
