Genus Sphecodes Latreille, 1804 View in CoL

Most species in this genus are brood parasites on various genera in the subfamily Halictinae , but their hosts that occur on the BCP also include Andrena , Calliopsis , and Perdita ( Andrenidae ), and Colletes ( Colletidae ) ( Michener

2007). Due to its challenging morphological identification, we have not been able to determine additional specimens, but at least three more Sphecodes morphospecies have been collected in the BCP.
