Hesperapis (Amblyapis) leucura Cockerell, 1924 View in CoL

[ Holotype: CASC; ♀ Bahia View in CoL San Francisquito , Baja California, Mexico; May 10, 1921]

Hesperapis leucura View in CoL specializes on pollen from Dalea View in CoL L. ( Fabaceae View in CoL ) ( Fowler 2020). This species has been recorded in Arizona, California, USA and the BCP, Mexico. Within the BCP, 34 specimens have been reported in the Lower Colorado Desert in San Felipe in 1963 by AMNH ( GBIF 2023). The CARCIB team collected this species in the Vizcaíno Desert in May (3 ♂), and June 2017 (1 ♀), in April 2018 (1 ♂), and May 2019 (1 ♂). See fig. 271.
