Hoplitis colei View in CoL occurs in the southwestern USA and BC, Mexico and specializes on pollen from Eriodictyon Benth. View in CoL ( Boraginaceae View in CoL ) ( Fowler 2020). Within the BCP, this species has only been collected in the Chaparral in May 1980 by SDNHM ( GBIF 2023). The MABC team collected one female in Chaparral near Ojos Negros Valley in May 2021.
