Hoplitis basingeri View in CoL specializes on pollen from Cryptantha Lehm. ex G. Don View in CoL ( Boraginaceae View in CoL ) ( Fowler 2020). This species inhabits the CFP in California, USA and BC, Mexico ( Hurd & Michener 1955). Within BC, this species was reported by Ayala et al. (1996).
