Megachile fidelis specializes on pollen from a wide range of genera in the family Asteraceae , which may explain its broad geographic range ( Fowler 2020). This represents a new species record in the BCP. The BBPT collected one female in the Magdalena Plains in March 2021 (MABC). See fig. 230.
