Megachile seducta , considered possibly extinct in the USA by NatureServe ( Young et al. 2016), represents a new species record for Mexico. The BBPT collected this species in the Coastal Sage Matorral in May (1 ♀) and June 2020 (2 ♀). Voucher specimens are housed in MABC (2 ♀) and ECOAB (1 ♀) . See fig. 227.
