[ Holotype: USNM; ♂ Colorado Springs , Colorado, USA; Mid-July]

Megachile perihirta represents a new species record in BC. This species is widespread across North America and narrows pollen collection from plants in families Asteraceae or Fabaceae . The ECOAB team collected this species in the Chaparral near the border with the USA in July 2013 (2 ♀, 1 ♂). See fig. 234.
