Puccinia caricis-thunbergii Homma

Type:— Lectotype is selected from specimens in SAPA, used for original description by Ito & Homma (1938) and designated here; II, III on Carex thunbergii Steud. var. thunbergii , Japan, Hokkaido, Tokachi, Shikaribetsu, 30 August 1929. S. Ito, SAPA24007, [MBT10021342]. Description:—See Hiratsuka et al. (1992) Hosts and distribution in Japan:— II, III on Carex thunbergii Steud. var. thunbergii (Hok, Hon) ( Ito 1950, Hiratsuka 1960, Hiratsuka et al. 1992). Notes:—This species has been reported from China and Russian Far East ( Zhuang et al. 1998, Azbukina 2005).
