Diagnosis. Males of A. pedicellatus closely resemble those of A. suthepicus Schwendinger 1989 in the shape of their palpal organ but differ by the sternum being wider than long and by the oval posterior pair of sigilla ( Figs 58, 64 View FIGURES 56–67 ); males also possess a relatively longer conductor with a lower upper distal corner, a longer ( Fig. 66 View FIGURES 56–67 ) and more pointed lower distal corner ( Fig. 67 View FIGURES 56–67 ); females differ in the larger and almost rounded receptacula, basal stalks of median pair of receptacula being as long as the long diameter of the receptacula, and the pore patches being small and rounded ( Figs 59–62 View FIGURES 56–67 ).
Etymology. The specific name is taken from the adjective Latin “pedicellatus” and refers to the shape of the receptacular stalks.
Description.
Male (holotype). Total length (including chelicerae) 14.94. Carapace 4.50 long, 4.68 wide; abdomen 5.94 long, 4.05 wide. Carapace with shallow grooves and pits, dark red brown, with dark border and lines. Eye tubercle black. Eye region occupying nearly onethird width of pars cephalica. Both eye rows recurved and almost equal in width. Eye diameters: AME 0.25, ALE 0.25, PME 0.15, PLE 0.18. Distances AME–AME 0.23, AME–ALE 0.07, PME–PME 0.63, PME–PLE 0.00. MOA 0.50 long, front width 0.68, back width 0.90. Fovea transverse, narrow, occupying about 1/10 of carapace width at that point. Chelicerae black brown, with 12 teeth on promargin and granular texture on pro and retrolateral faces.
