There is one paratype in NFIC with following information written on the labels. Label 1: White label one stating collection locality '(INDIA: Uttarakhand), Haldwani Div. Kumaon; collected by HG Champion'. Label 2: White label stating host, hand written 'In sheaths of Neyraudia '. Label 3: White label ' Downesia sasthi Mlk., Cotype 1923 (hand written), Det. S. Maulik'. Label 4: yellow bordered white circular label stating 'Cotype'.

Remarks: The species was described from nine specimens. Type deposited in NHM, London. Staines (2015) also mentioned type deposited in 'BMNH'.
