TYPE LOCALITY: " Sumatra," [ Indonesia], Restricted by Sody (1949a:113) to Lampongs, S Sumatra .
DISTRIBUTION: Peninsular Malaysia and Thailand, Sumatra, Java, Borneo, adjacent isls.
SYNONYMS: atchinensis Sody, 1949; castaneus (Miller, 1900); diversoides Sody, 1949; diversus (Thomas, 1898); fornicatus Robinson, 1917; jalorensis (Bonhote, 1903); javanus ( Thomas and Wroughton, 1908); meridionalis Robinson and Kloss, 1911; murianus Sody, 1937; peninsulae Miller, 1903; rostratus (Miller, 1903); saturatus Chasen, 1935 ; vulcanus Kloss, 1921.
