Specimens examined. 1m, Asir, Abha, Hay Al-Nusub ( Abha Farm Centre), 20.iv.2013, Malaise trap, H.A. Dawah ( CERS); 1f, Asir, Abha, Madenate Al-Ameer Sultan, Hay Al-Sad, 25.ii.–25.v.2002, Malaise trap, H.A. Dawah ( CERS) .

Distribution. New to Saudi Arabia. It was described from Madagascar, Sokotra and Tanzania. It was recorded from Yemen ( van Emden 1948).

Biological remarks. Larvae are recorded as living in cow dung ( Pont 1991).
