Type locality: SW Bhutan, Gedu , Paro Distr., 1200 m [ca. N 26°56´, E 89°31´]

Studied material. Type material. Holotype male. BHUTAN: ‘ W. Bhutan, Gedu / Paro Distr., 1200 m // 17.–26.vi.1988 / C. Holzschuh [leg.]’ ( ZSMC).

Identification. Species with only one pair of tubercles in post median part of elytra, these tubercles also prominent, similar in shape and size to tubercles in sub-basal part ( Figs 30, 34 ). All tubercles in sub-basal and post median part conical with blunt tops rather upwardly oriented. Disc of pronotum completely flat without any imprint ( Fig. 31 ). Dorsal transverse carina of pronotum in contact with lateral carina rounded, not forming protruding lateral lobes ( Fig. 31 ). Elytra and pronotum with predominance of dark brown to blackish colour. Small tufts of light coloured dense appressed setae mainly on elytra, lateral part of pronotum and pronotal declivity, the same pattern also on lower side of body. Elytral declivity with narrow tortuous transverse light-coloured stripe. Body size 8.05 mm (only holotype male known). Colour pattern as in Figs 30–31, 34 .

Male holotype. Measurements (in mm): Total body length—8.05. Head: total length—2.14; length of rostrum— 1.43; maximum width of rostrum—1.21; length of eye—0.83; maximum width across eyes—1.20; minimum distance between eyes—0.13. Antenna: length of segments: II—0.26, III—0.37, IV—0.31, V—0.29, VI—0.19, VII—0.21, VIII—0.21, IX—0.40, X—0.14, XI—0.36, width of segment IX—0.29. Pronotum: maximum length— 1.71; maximum width—2.33; minimum width—1.36. Elytra: maximum length—4.50; maximum width—3.30. Pygidium: maximum length—0.88, maximum width—0.88.

Distribution. SW Bhutan (only male holotype known).
