Synonym. Tuponia conspersa Reuter, 1901 (synonymy by Linnavuori 1964b).

Distribution in Iran. Fars (Linnavuori 2010), Khorasan ( Linnavuori & Modarres Awal 1999), Khuzestan, Kuhgiloyeh & Boyerahmad (Linnavuori 2010), Mazandaran ( Ghahari et al. 2011), Sistan & Baluchestan ( Wagner 1957 under the junior synonym T. conspersa ), Southern Iran (no locality cited) ( Modarres Awal 1997c), Iran (no locality cited) ( Kerzhner & Josifov 1999).

General distribution and hosts. Eremian species, extending from North Africa to Central Asia and tropical Africa ( Sudan); living on Tamarix sp. ( Modarres Awal 1997c; Linnavuori & Modarres Awal 1999; Linnavuori 2010) and, incidentally, Malva neglecta (Malvaceae) ( Ghahari et al. 2011).
