Synonym: Zanchius iranicus Zheng & Liu, 1993 (synonymy by Linnavuori, 2007: 40).
Distribution in Iran. Fars (Linnavuori 2009), Guilan ( Linnavuori 2007), Hormozgan ( Linnavuori 2004b), Khuzestan (Linnavuori 2009), Markazi ( Modarres Awal 1997c), Tehran ( Linnavuori 2007 and Aukema et al. 2013; Zheng & Liu 1993 and Kerzhner & Josifov 1999 under the name Z. iranicus ).
General distribution and hosts. Eremian species, extending from Egypt to Yemen, also known from adjacent Sudanese subregion (from Nigeria to Erithrea); living on different plants such fig ( Modarres Awal 1997c), Abutilon sp. , Calotropis procera and Gossypium sp. ( Linnavuori 2004b; Linnavuori 2007, 2009).
