Distribution in Iran. Ardabil ( Linnavuori 2007), Fars (Linnavuori 2010), Guilan ( Linnavuori 2007), Hormozgan ( Linnavuori 2004b), Kerman ( Wagner 1958 under the original combination Tuponia richteri ), Khorasan ( Linnavuori & Modarres Awal 1999), Khuzestan (Linnavuori 2010), Kordestan (Linnavuori 2010), Kuhgiloyeh & Boyerahmad (Linnavuori 2010), Sistan & Baluchestan ( Wagner 1957 under the original combination Tuponia richteri ; Kerzhner & Josifov 1999: holotype from Iranshar), Tehran ( Linnavuori 2007), Zanjan ( Linnavuori 2007), “generally distributed” ( Modarres Awal 1997c).
General distribution and hosts. Eremian species, extending from North Africa to the Middle Asia ( Turkmenistan) and tropical Africa ( Niger to Somalia); living on Tamarix sp. ( Modarres Awal 1997c; Linnavuori & Modarres Awal 1999; Linnavuori 2004b, 2007, 2010).
